KATHUA, July 17: The irate residents of Pali near, here blocked the Jammu –Pathankote National Highway for one hour in the morning to protest the acute water scarcity in the area.
Hundreds of the protestors from the area squatted on the road raising anti PHE Department and anti administration slogans disrupted the movement of traffic on NH from 10 am to 11 am.
The protestors warned to go for indefinite agitation in case the water supply was not restored to the area saying that the acute scarcity of water has added to their woes in this hot and humid Summer.
Due to the blockade of HN there was a huge jam on it for miles together and later on the intervention of police the blockade was lifted and traffic on the highway was restored.
