JAMMU, Sept 14: Resident of Pata Bohri, Talab Tillo Jammu, have alleged that some land grabbers were trying to encroach upon cremation ground cum Shishu Samadhian (graveyard for children) , on Akhnoor road, adjoining Police check post near Royal Palm.
Some land grabbers, in connivance with JDA officials are trying to encroach upon this Shishu Samadhian land for commercial purpose while Police is also shielding the accused,” alleged Rajveer Singh, chairman of All Mohalla Welfare Committee, while addressing a press conference, here today.
Warning a strong reaction of the locals, Rajveer Singh said that people would expose the JDA nexus with land grabbers, who are not sparing even the cremation grounds and graveyards. “If no action is taken against the accused land grabbers and corrupt officials of JDA, the Mohalla Welfare Committee will take to streets and expose the nexus,” he added.
