The Prime Minister Modi, who is also incharge Public Grievances and Pensions deserves all praise for making the pensioners verification process quite hassle free. It was pitiable that aged and ailing pensioners had to wait in long queues at the office of Treasury Officer or Bank Manager in both blistering hot as well as inclement chilling weather for physical verification. It was a hard nut to crack for bed ridden and crippled pensioners accompa nied by young caretakers who took them for physical verification in utterly painful condition. Further, it was also a cumbersome affair to get “Life certificate” from a gazzetted officer.
Now, the digital certification for Central Govt pensioners has make it convenient, as IT software will enable recording of the Aadhar number and other biometeric data that shall be down loaded in the central data system enabling the disbursing officer of the pensioner to have an on spot access to the Digital Life Certificate” through the pensioner’s smart phone.
The new computerised technique has given a lot of relief to the bed ridden pensioners and the whole pensioner coming and thus the Prime Minister has won their infinite blessings by introducing the innovative software technique.
It is prayed that the State Govt shall also adopt this technique so that State Govt pensioners shall not have to move from their homes in helpless suffering state, thus paying adieu to the old hackneyed and troublesome physical verification process.
