SAMBA, Feb 1: All J&K State Pensioners Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its convener Mukand Lal Sharma, which was presided over by general secretary Madan Lal Abrol.
During the meeting, the association decided to hold protest on February 9 at Government Higher Secondary School Vijaypur to highlight their issues.
Madan Lal Abrol said that the pensioners and employees of the State have been struggling for the past four years in connection with their issues including implementation of the 6th Pay Commission. But unfortunately the Government has shown no reasonable response till today, he added.
He stated that the intentional delay on the part of the Government towards pensioners and employees is highly condemnable.
If the Government failed to redress their issues at the earliest, the association will launch a crusade against the Government across the State, he warned.
Mukand Lal Sharma appealed the pensioners of the State to remain united so that they can teach Government a lesson in the coming election by contesting their own candidate.
