Pensioners problem

Sir,
Having  gone through the pathetic tale of sorrows confronting poor and hapless pensioners of the State at the hand of its employer i.e. State Government for whom they have contributed everything in their prime life span spreading for over 30 odd years with their heart and brain, stamina, energy, dedication and sincerity before attaining superannuation analyzed by Mr J R Aryan through your columns (Excelsior 25th Feb). His prayers have no effect whatsoever on the stalwarts sitting in the power echelons. But once this employee retires from service, he is deprived of his genuine rights and is considered a burden on Government Exchequer. What a callous attitude and disparity towards this particular class of society who deserves every sympathy and help at their fag end of life.
Earlier, in his write up (Excel. 6th October 13) Mr Aryan has analyzed how the employer is bound to sustain his employee in his old age for the remaining part of his life in return of his services rendered by him throughout his prime life time that is called “Pension” and it is no obligation on the employee as Mr Rather maintains. So it is not still too late for the Chief Minister to awaken to the legitimate cause of the employees and pensioners and should accede to their genuine demands forthwith lest it may be too late.
Yours etc….
