JAMMU, Jan 20: All J&K Pensioners Association, Jammu has reitirated its old pending demands, for early redressal and also discussed some new demands, here today.
Addressing a press conference, M L Abrol, president, All J&K Pensioners Association, demanded that pending arrears of sixth pay commission allowances be paid them along with enhanced Medical Allowance of Rs 1,000 and that the pension be increased according to the age of the pensioners after attaining age of 60, 70, 80, 90 years at the rate of 60%, 70%, 80% and 90% respectively.
The president has strongly condemned the attitude of the present RTO as he has failed to take action against mini-bus operators who are overcharging from the passengers. He also demanded that fare be regulated as per distance.
Other who attended the press conference were Kapil Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Yash Paul Sasan, Raj Kumar, Mukand Lal Sharma, Ram Pal and Maheshwar Sharma.
