JAMMU, May 11: Pensioners Welfare Association Kathua has demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance. The Association in a meeting here, today held under the presidentship of Sardar Tara Singh, chief advisor urged the Government to enhance the Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to 3000 per month in favour of State Government employees and pensioners.
The Association further demanded that the enhancement of Medical Allowance be given effect from 2006.
The meeting was among others addressed by Sohan Lal Sharma, chief organizer and Amar Nath Dogra district president and it was attended by other members of the Association also.
Meanwhile in a meeting of Displaced Medical Pensioners Welfare Forum held under the chairmanship of P K Peshin the Government was urged to enhance the Medical Allowance for employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month.
