JAMMU, June 9: In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, all pending examinations of J&K Board of School Education for Classes 11 and 12 in the Union Territory have been cancelled.
This was conveyed by none but Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today through a tweet from his official account.
“In view of safety and well-being of students due to COVID pandemic, all pending JKBOSE Examinations session 2020-21 (Regular/Private) for final exams of class XI and XII across JKUT for which examination/ results are awaited, are cancelled,” he tweeted.
He further tweeted that a detailed procedure for publishing of results along with a scheme of marking will be completed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) shortly.
Pertinent to mention that examinations of only three subjects of Class 12th had been conducted while exams of Class 11th were yet to commence when COVID restrictions were imposed here last month.
