JAMMU, May 16: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rifat Kohli today imposed penalty of Rs 2500 and Rs 2000 on Tehsildar, Jammu, North and Naib Tehsildar, Mishriwala respectively, under the PSGA, for failing to provide the notified service of demarcation of land to an applicant namely Ram Kumar Gupta.
In another order, a fine of Rs. 2500 each was imposed on Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar, Bishnah, for failing to provide the service of demarcation to an applicant namely Chand Rani.
The Naib Tehsildars were fined for sleeping over the applications of the applicants for more than 30 days whereas, the Tehsildars were fined for failing to hear and decide the appeals as First Appellate authorities. Both the orders were passed by the ADC (Adm), Jammu, in her capacity as the second Appellate authority for the purpose of demarcation.
It is pertinent to mention that both the applicants had approached the Single Window PSGA cell of the Deputy Commissioner’s office where upon their applications were taken to the appellate stages by the Single Window per se. On each stage, the Single Window appeared on behalf of the applicants.
