JAMMU, Jan 23: A pedestrian was knocked to death by a speeding unknown bike in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu.
“The mishap occurred today at about 11 AM near steel bridge, opposite Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar,” a police official said.
He said in the mishap, the pedestrian namely Brij Lal (80) son of Nand Lal, resident of Roop Nagar (Jammu), received serious injuries following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he passed away during treatment.
“A case in this connection has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation started while the body has been handed over to its legal heirs for last rites after completion of all medico-legal formalities,” the official added.
