SAMBA, June 14: A pedestrian was killed in a road mishap near Gouda Morh in Vijaypur area.
According to a police spokesperson, an unknown motorbike this morning hit and injured a pedestrian namely Parkash Chand (75) son of Chait Ram, a resident of Thalori Camp (Vijaypur), near Gouda Morh falling under the jurisdiction of police station Vijaypur.
The seriously injured Parkash was taken to a nearby Government Hospital, but in view of his serious condition the doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Vijaypur and further investigations are on.
