10-day long Yog Shiksha Shivar begins at Nagdandi Ashram

ANANTNAG, June 14: Ten days “Yoga Shiksha Shivar” organised by Shree Ramakrishna Mahasammelan  Ashram, Nagdandi Kashmir  under the aegies of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari was inaugurated  by  M. Hanumantharao Tresurer, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.
According to an Ashram handout 33 persons from Andhra, Telangana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Punjab and J&K are participating in the Yog Shiver . The Shivar  will conclude on June 21, the ” International Yoga Day”. The participants to be trained in Yoga Aasans by technically experienced persons from Banglore, Kanyakumari and Shimla namely  Dr. Raj Shekhar Reddy, Mrs Kalpana Mehta and Prabhat Tewari. They will also attend regular and other Sessions  for awareness, education and interaction on various topics covering “challenges and responses” to nation, Bakhta Yoga, Gyan Yoga, Karam Yoga,  Indian “ethos and culture”, teachings of Swami Vivekananda and Man Eknath Ji on universal brotherhood, man making and  nation building.
This was stated by  B.L Bhat Chairman Administrative Committee and Shivar chief “SRMA” Nandandi . He also said that  the participants will be briefed on the Ashram activities and story of Rock Memorial Kanyakumari. The Ashram founded  by Swami Ashkananda Ji Maharaj during 1937 works to teach, preach,  propagate and preserve “Sanatan Dharma”, the basics of which are non violance, pridelessness, cleanliness, self control, simplicity  humility, tolerance  and above all search for absolute truth.  As the  Ashram connects the community  to roots, conducting of  Shivars and meets/ conferences in Kashmir will help greatly in promoting  humanism,  brotherhood  besides National Integration. Chanchal Dhar,  J.K Razdan,  C.L Bhat besides V.K Life Workers  Atul Saha, Miss Kum. Lalitha Ji are organising and participating in the programme.
