JAMMU, July 28: A pedestrian died in hit and run case near Digiana Camp, here today.
As per police sources, a pedestrian identified as Darshan Kumar, son of Janko Ram, a resident of Ramnagar, District Udhampur was hit by an unknown vehicle near Digiana Camp.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
