JAMMU, July 24: A drug peddler along with 1 kilogram of Ganja was nabbed today by police under the jurisdiction of Police Post Sarwal.
“A team of Police Post Sarwal led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Rakesh Sharma and Incharge Police Post Sarwal PSI Baljeet Singh Parihar while on patrolling duty rounded up a suspected lady and on search, recovered 1 kg of Ganja from her possession,” a Police spokesman said.
He said cognizance was taken in this regard at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and the accused lady identified Amrit Bai wife of Parshotam Ratre, resident of Chhattisgarh (at present living near Mast Ram Ashram, Patoli, Jammu), arrested.
Further investigation of the case was going on, the spokesman added.
