Jammu, February 12: Asserting to fulfill dreams of former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today decided to organise a simple function at Jammu to observe 40th day of the death of party patron.
A meeting was held today at PDP office under the leadership of party general secretary Ved Mahajan to review preparation for 40th day of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Member Parliament and former Deputy Chief Minister, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh will preside over the function, which will be held on February 15 to observe 40th day Mufti Sahib.
Speaking on the occasion, Ved Mahajan said that it was duty of all PDP workers to fulfill dreams of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. He said that fulfilling Mufti Sahib’s vision is aim of the PDP. He reminded that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, as Chief Minister of the State, had provided corruption free governance with completely transparency and accountability. “On the 40th day of the death of our party patron, PDP workers will take a pledge to work with dedication and commitment to fulfill dreams of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, he said and Mufti Sahib had a vision for the over-all growth of the State with special focus on neglected and far-flung areas.
Others who present in the meeting included T S Bajwa, S Rafiq Hussain Khan, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Jatinder Bhat, Bhushan Dogra, Dr Harmesh Salathia, F C Bhagata, Vinod Sharma, Vinod Gupta, Surjeet Kour and Ashok Sidhah.
