KISHTWAR, July 19: Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) staged protest here today against creating new Village Defence Committees (VDCs).
A large number of PDP workers led by Former MLC and senior PDP leader Firdous Tak assembled at general bus stand here and raised slogans against the district administration.
While speaking, Tak said that the administration is planning to arm RSS cadre in the district, which is not tolerable. “With the creating of new VDCs, the district administration is trying to strengthen the RSS cadre in the district”, he added.
He issued a final ultimatum to the administration to withdraw the order or be ready to face the consequences.
Tak made it clear that the order was part of larger designs to create wedge between the communities.
He said that the party struggle is only against the administration and warned to intensify the protest if the order is not withdrawn forthwith.
