PDP seeks action against officials for not returning books

JAMMU, July 5: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has sought action against officials including bureaucrats and six former Vice Chancellors of Jammu University for not returning books taken from Central Library.
Addressing a press conference, Vikram Singh and Chaman Angral said it was very unfortunate to hear that senior bureaucrats and six former Vice Chancellors of Jammu University are amongst the top officials who have not returned books taken from the Central Library.
Vikram Singh said same condition is of ancient Maharaja Ranbir Singh Library, adding that there are 4,41,839 books present in Central Library but they don’t know how much books were missing out of stock and how much books has been damaged from the Central Library of Jammu University.
Singh urged the Chancellor of Jammu University and Governor NN Vohra to direct Vice Chancellor of the Varsity to take immediate action against the officials, who have not returned books taken from the Central Library, so that in future such incidents do not take place.
