SRINAGAR, Mar 27: Asserting that the PDP has always believed in propagating politics based on regional and divisive tendencies by pitting one region against other, the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayats and senior leader of National Conference, Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that they were responsible for inflicting innumerable miseries on the people of the State.
Mr. Sagar was addressing a public gathering at Arhama, Shopian in the South Kashmir, as part of the people to people contact. It was attended by Dr. Mehboob Baig, MP, eminent persons of the area besides leaders of the National Conference and District president Shopian, Shabir Ahmed Kullay.
Referring to the then coalition Government headed by Mufti Syed as one of the worst Governments of State, Mr. Sagar said that it is known to all that it was one of the most corrupt and inefficient regimes to have governed the State. He said that the party is used to propagate lies and misleading the people in order to hide their failures.
Mr Sagar said the PDP have always been involved in various conspiracies against the people of the State in order to garb power as it is a power thirsty party for which interests of the State do not matter. He said that patron of the party has been responsible for enactment of certain draconian laws like AFSPA, which has been responsible for inflicting miseries on the people of the State and now in a State of fear and hypocrisy they are trying to mislead the people by spreading lies as well as false propaganda and trying to project themselves as well wishers of the people of the State.
Mehboob Baig while referring to the vicious propaganda being launched by PDP said “It is not for the first time that this party is targeting National Conference by launching vicious propaganda against it, they are in a habit of doing so since long and have always been defeated in their nefarious designs by the people”.
