JAMMU, Nov 9: Terming the allegation levelled by PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti that BJP is playing divisive politics in J&K as ‘baseless and concocted’, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday in counter claimed that it’s not his party but PDP and NC which brazenly played communal card and missed no chance to divide people of erstwhile State of J&K as and when they got an opportunity to hoodwink masses.
BJP stalwart said, “After politics of deceit and deception which PDP and NC played in the last over 70 years got exposed with people rejecting them out rightly their so called leaders have come out with ‘Plan-B’ in the shape of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) to again trap the people of J&K UT. Under the guise of this new political amalgam called PAGD these ‘opportunists’ are trying to revive their scope of remaining relevant in UT politics for some more time which will never going to happen as people now are well aware of their deceptive political manoeuvring and will not fall prey to their hypocritical moves”.
“Whatever the PDP and NC shall plan or execute in their bids to survival, one thing is sure that there is nobody on earth who can save their boats from sinking as both these political outfits have committed unpardonable ‘sins’ by means of propagating anti-national agenda at various points of time and through blackmailing successive central dispensations only to satiate their personal vested interests”, Kavinder said adding that it is due to these leaders’ nonchalance and self-centered misdemeanor that lead to turmoil in the Valley and rogue nation Pakistan taking undue advantage waged undeclared ‘war’ in J&K by sponsoring terrorism”.
Earlier, the former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta visited several areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency and took stock of development works.
The senior BJP leader also interacted with people of the area and listened to their problems. He assured that their issues will be taken up with authorities concerned and will be resolved at the earliest.
