Jammu, Nov 21: PDP MLC Yashpal Sharma today inaugurated the newly constructed lanes and drains at old Railway Patri, Miran Sahib and dedicated them for the public use. He provided Rs 3 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for the works.
He also assured the people that the government will take up every step to ensure better road connectivity, lanes and drains and other vital services.
The people of the area put forth various demands which included construction of remaining lanes, roads, better water and power supply etc. Responding to their grievances he sanctioned more lane and drains out of his CDF.
He added that the Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide improved basic amenities to the people of every part of the state irrespective of caste, colour and creed. He asked the people to participate in the development programmes being executed in their respective areas to yield better results.
Reaffirming Government’s resolve of holding Panchayat elections at the earliest, Sharma appealed to the people to ensure their complete participation in the process which is vital for boosting the development picture of the state especially rural and far flung areas.
