JAMMU, Oct 5: Recalling words of Late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that in a democratic setup people rely on ‘war of ideologies’ and not violence, PDP leader Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that J&K at this moment requires ‘Healing Touch’ for which each and every individual needs to contribute.
“Both State as well as Central Government have massive plans to develop Jammu and Kashmir and also generate employment opportunities for unemployed and educated youth for which conducive atmosphere is need of the hour. The clarion call of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti asking people to win over masses in the State is testimony of the fact that she is trying to rope in investors to strengthen our economy,” Choudhary Hamid said in a statement, issued here today.
“Kashmir since ages has remained favourite destination of travellers, saints, film makers, corporate houses and domestic as well as foreign tourists. Nothing has gone wrong and we can revive that influx of tourists anytime once people and especially youth begin to cooperate,” he said and added that the Government with available infrastructure was capable enough to sustain winter tourism in the given condition for which people must extend their support and let peace prevail for better opportunities.
Hamid Choudhary said those critical of CM’s proposals and plans to build a strong Jammu and Kashmir State were the ones who had sown seeds of hatred and created unrest. “The opposition during past few months played very dirty role in adding fuel to fire which is highly condemnable,” he said.
The PDP leader hoped that people would understand the situation, cooperate and help build a strong Jammu and Kashmir State, which will have better avenues for everyone irrespective of cast, creed, region or religion.
