JAMMU, Dec 21: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has called a meeting of party’s Core Group tomorrow to discuss party’s strategy for upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and number of party leaders including former MLAs deserting the party to join National Conference and People’s Conference.
According to party sources, the PDP meeting will be chaired by Mehbooba and all senior leaders have been called to the Core Group meeting to discuss and finalize the party strategy for the elections.
“The party will deliberate on desertions by some senior party leaders and rejuvenate the cadre,” sources said, adding the PDP top brass will also review the political situation in the State.
