Srinagar, Sept 27: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the use of force against young journalist Azhar Qadri of the Tribune while performing his duties and girl students who were holding peaceful demonstrations to press their demands.
In a statement the PDP chief spokesperson Naeem Akhtar said use of brute force was the preferred method of dealing with any situation for the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led Government.
Akhter said it is not a first occasion that journalist has been targeted with brute force. Earlier also many journalists have faced the wrath of forces during the discharge of their professional duties.
Akhter said the NC led Govt is systematically demolishing all institutions and unfortunately it has not spared even the fourth estate.
Strongly condemning the use of force against the girl students who were holding peaceful demonstration PDP spokesman said this is in tune with Omar Abdullah’s policy of silencing all voices through force.
