JAMMU, Jan 9: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal has alleged that PDP and BJP are creating wedge between the people of Kashmir and Jammu regions for their vested political interests.
Addressing party workers’ meeting at Dinga Amb tehsil headquarters of Kandi belt, falling in Billawar constituency, Dr Manohar said that wrong policies of BJP and the PDP are responsible for widening gap between Kashmir and Jammu divisions. He cautioned the people to understand the designs of these parties.
Dr Sharma further said that rate of Khair wood be fixed by weight or square feet. The department should allow farmers/growers of Khair trees to sell this wood outside the State, so that exploitation of farmers is stopped.
The Congress leader further said the employment policy of BJP and highly discriminatory selection criteria adopted by PSC and SSB is totally intolerable.
Dr Sharma said that BJP-PDP Govt do not believe on development of area and State, but is busy in hollow slogans and trying to keep busy others in same.
Subash Gupta, Ex- MLC president DCC Kathua said that State and Centre Govt has failed on all fronts and also to fulfill promises made with the public.
Gupta asked workers to be prepared for the coming Panchayat elections. He further demanded that Govt should immediately make the pending payments of MGNREGA workers to the labours.
