PDP-BJP coalition comes under fire of its members

SRINAGAR :  The PDP-BJP coalition government today faced the wrath of its own members in the Jammu and  Kashmir Assembly as several ruling alliance members questioned the seriousness of the ministers, most of whom were not present in the house during Zero hour.
“Is is some kind of drama? The issues we raised during  the Zero Hour in the previous session (in March) have not been addressed yet. No one is here from the government to listen to the issues we raise,” Yawar Mir of PDP said as only two of the 25 ministers were present in the house.
Several other ruling alliance MLAs, including few from  the BJP, took to their feet in support of Mir.
Minister of State Abdul Majid Padder, who was present in the House, tried to pacify the irate members saying he was  taking note of each and every issue being raised by them.
Padder said the other ministers had gone to attend the  Question Hour in Legislative Council, the upper house of the  legislature.
However, the members continued to protest with Mir saying, “In that case, this House (Assembly) should be closed  during Question Hour (in the LC).”
The members resumed their seats after five more ministers walked in to the house to attend the proceedings. (PTI)
