SRINAGAR, Mar 23: Maintaining that PDP has always believed in propagating the politics of deceit and deception, the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayats and senior leader of National Conference, Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that in order to suit their political agenda the leaders of the party have always hatched conspiracies against the people of the State for their political gains and personal agendas.
Mr. Sagar was addressing a huge gathering at Nowhatta in the old city, Srinagar as part of the people to people contact. It was attended by eminent persons of the area besides leaders of the party.
The NC leader said that it is recorded history that the party (NC) has rendered many sacrifices for the cause of the state and have never cared for the power, whereas the leaders of the PDP have always been involved in the mechanisations to stall the interests of the State for their petty political interests and also murder democracy and democratic intuitions as was evident by their dubious role in ensuring the toppling of democratically elected Governments in1977, 1984 and 1990.He said that the party has been responsible for enactment of certain draconian laws which have inflicted miseries on the people of the State and now in a state of fear and hypocrisy they are trying to mislead the people by spreading lies as well as false propaganda but the people of the State are wise enough to understand their designs and will give a befitting reply to them in near future.
Appealing the people to vote en-mass for Dr. Farooq Abdulah, Mr. Sagar said that there is no comparison between Dr. Farooq who is the most popular leader of the people and a political novice being fielded by the PDP.”It is not for the first time that this party is targeting National Conference by launching vicious propaganda against it, they are in a habit of doing so since long and have always been defeated in their nefarious designs”, Mr sagar said.
Mr. Sagar said that Omar led Government has ushered an era of peace and development in the State, which have no parallels in the annals of the history and this has induced a sense of fear in the minds of PDP,which is now resorting to political gimmick to further their ulterior political motives. He said that the Government has worked tirelessly for the restoration of the peace in the State and now the people are reaping the dividends.
