JAMMU, Dec 12: All J&K PDL/TDL Electrical Employees Union has expressed resentment over the seniority list issued by the Chief Engineer, Jammu Power Development Corporation Ltd on December 7, 2022 for different districts.
The employees expressing serious concern over the issue and held protest, demanding immediate review on the seniority list issued by the Chief Engineer JPDCL for Jammu region. They pointed out that there were certain irregularities and deficiencies in this seniority list which are needed to be rectified. They were raising slogans in support of their demands.
They further pointed out that some persons who have already been regularized, were included in this list and they are needed to be excluded. Moreover, some non-permanent residents of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir have been included in the list, who prior to abrogation of Article 370 and 35A of the Constitution are not entitled for any appointment in the departments of J&K Government. The DPCs were earlier conducted during 2021, 2019, 2013 also but non-residents of J&K were never included in said regularization lists.
Another glaring example of irregularity and illegality of the department is that some persons have been engaged even prior to their qualifying age as per rules which is 18 years. For example, in the list of district Kishtwar the candidate at serial number 9 does not qualifies for the same. The person has the date of birth 1993 and has been shown engaged in the department during 07/2005, who at that relevant time was only 11 years and 8 months’ minor boy. Another person at serial 11 was just 12 years old at the time of entry in the department as per record. These blunders exist in the list and need immediate attention. The lists of Samba and Jammu districts are required to be clubbed together, they added.
They requested the higher authorities to look into the list and revisit the same without any more delay.
