JAMMU, July 24: A deputation of All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union met Power Development Commissioner, at Janipur.
The deputation was led by its president Vijay Gupta, Chairman wherein they expressed concern over their long pending demands regarding holding of DPC by the Superintending Engineer, finalizing the accident cases, and welfare fund to bonafide beneficiaries and implementation of SRO-59 which has been implemented in Kashmir province.
The Power Development Commissioner gave patient hearing to the demands of the union and gave on spot direction to Chief Engineer, EM&RE Circle, Jammu to issue directives to SE Circle no. 1 for holding the DPC of class IV employees.
With regard to SRO 59, the Commissioner assured the deputation that the same shall be decided in due course of time.
