RAJOURI, Jan 23: A PDD daily wager fell down from a pole while working on a live electricity line and seriously injured in Rajouri today.
Sources said that at around 11:40 hrs on Sunday daily wage employee of PDD, namely, Saleem Ahmad (41), son of Mohd Abdul, resident of Chhaprian in Rajouri was performing his duty near Grid Station Chhapprian regarding clearing fault but due to electric shock, he fell down from the pole and serious injured. He was shifted to GMC Rajouri. The Daily Wagers Union has demanded prompt treatment and financial help to the poor worker. Union also demanded inquiry into the matter regarding sudden release of power from station.
