PCC Migrant Cell holds meet

JAMMU, Oct 30: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Migrant Cell held a meeting under the chairmanship of MN Pandita, Vice Chairman of the Cell.
While speaking, Pandita said that besides requests by various social and political organizations, Relief Commissioner has not yet revoked the order of distributing the ration slips to the migrants on monthly basis.
He also blamed the Government for its callous attitude towards migrants for not issuing RBA certificates to genuine migrants.
He appealed to the Government to release the appointment orders of those migrants, who had appeared in the interviews six months back and post them at Jammu till the return of the migrants to the Valley. He also urged the Government to club the PM’s employment package with the return of the migrants to the Valley.
Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Convener of the Cell demanded special recruitment drive for the unemployed migrant youths in police department and construction of more quarters on the pattern of Jagti Township to accommodate those migrants, who are living in rented accommodations.
Among others present in the meeting were BL Raina, ML Labroo, Ajay Bharti, CL Raina, Karan Choudhary, Kiran Raina, AK Raina, etc.
