PCC flays Govt for age relaxation withdrawal

JAMMU, Feb 13: Taking strong exception to the anti-youth decision of Centre Government to withdraw age relaxation to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in the UPSC examination despite widespread resentment amongst youth JKPCC lambasts to BJP for not being bothered about the right to concession to the youth of trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma and other senior leaders lashed out at the BJP for ignoring the interests of youth of Jammu and Kashmir who are facing the worst kind of turmoil, uncertainty and slapping of internet facility and overall disturbed academic atmosphere.
They said this decision has come as a great setback to the large number of present and future aspirants for the Civil Services, which is totally unjustified and illogical and against the interests of youth of Jammu and Kashmir. This decision has followed another decision which has curtailed the quota of KAS & KPS in the induction to the IAS/IPS thus depriving and diminishing the chances of induction of J&K officers in the All India Services.
Congress leaders strongly protested the decision of Central Government and asked the Modi Govt to re-consider these anti-youth decisions in view of the prevailing situation which justifies the continuous of the available concessions for the last about three decades by all previous Congress Governments at the Centre. They asked BJP to stop giving gifts to the suffering youth of J&K and don’t play with the career of the youth.
The other signatories to the statement included co-treasurer Rajnish Sharma, general secretaries Balwan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, Manmohan Singh, Shah Mohd Choudhary, Shah Nawaj Choudary and Namrata Sharma.
