JAMMU, Aug 31: Strongly condemning the shocking incident of abduction, forcible conversion and marriage against her wishes of a Sikh girl in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan, PCC termed it a shameful incident reflecting plight of minority in Pakistan.
Reacting strongly JKPCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma has described the incident very shocking and unfortunate and urged the Govt of India to take all possible steps to pressurize Pakistan to take action in the matter and to ensure the safety and security of the minorities in Pakistan and protection of their rights and dignity of lives.
He said that numerous such reports in the past also reveal the worst condition of minorities in our neighbouring country, which has failed to learn that the beauty and strength of a nation lies in the manner it treats and respects the rights of its minorities.
