JAMMU, Dec 29: Pradesh Congress Committee has strongly condemned the assault on AICC general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi by UP Police on Saturday while she was proceeding to visit illegal detenues.
In a press statement here today, PCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said that this shows the frustration of BJP Govt, which is hell bent to stall opposition of the country to play its peaceful and democratic role.
He also attacked BJP-led UP Govt headed by Yogi Aditya Nath, resorting to authoritarian means to present the Congress leadership to play the role of responsible opposition. He termed yesterday’s attack on Priyanka Gandhi as an assault on democratic values of the country. It shows the level of frustration in BJP, the spokesman said.
