Pawan Gupta expelled from BJP

JAMMU, Nov 21: BJP today expelled the senior party leader for contesting Assembly elections as independent candidate against an official candidate from Udhampur Constituency.
“BJP State President and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, in consultation with Party High Command, today expelled Pawan Gupta from primary membership of Party with immediate effect,” official spokesman here said.
He said that the decision has been taken keeping in view his indiscipline of contesting election against official candidate of the Party from Udhampur Constituency.
It was further stated that this decision is irrevocable and will not be reconsidered in future and said that any party worker or leader associating himself with Mr Gupta will also be dealt sternly.
Meanwhile Pawan Gupta in a statement said that he had already resigned from BJP and contested the election as an independent candidate. He alleged that the State unit of BJP has lost its credibility and moral values.
He also leveled some wild allegations against the Party.
