JAMMU, June 24: Pawan Sharma has been elected as president of Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K youth wing for Tehsil Jammu (Urban), while Partap Singh Jamwal and Rahul Gupta as vice presidents of the Association, here today.
Ishan Gupta was announced as general secretary, Ritesh Langer as cashier, Vyom Gupta as secretary incharge social media, while Parteek Raj, Naveen Sharma and Gagan Sharma were nominated as members of the committee.
This was disclosed by Gambir Dev Singh, in-charge youth wing of the Sabha while addressing the media persons and disclosed that to carry out the activities of the Sabha effectively in the city of Jammu, a separate committee of youth wing for Tehsil Jammu (Urban) has been constituted.
Gambhir Dev Singh explained to the newly elected body about the glorious history and responsibilities of the Sabha. He asked them to remain fully conversant with the day-to-day evolving socio-economic and environmentally important scenario of Jammu region and always take lead in activities that are helpful for the common masses.
Singh also apprised them about the struggle of the Sabha for restoration of original glory to Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and other places of historical and cultural importance in Jammu region, revival of Dogra culture and holding of Jammu festivals and others.
He appealed to the UT administration for prompt upkeep and maintenance of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (No. 44) to facilitate foolproof movement of vehicles by timely pressing into service adequate machinery and manpower along the highway for the smooth and uninterrupted Amarnath Ji Yatra and suggested free bus services for different sacred shrines of Lord Shiva like Sudh Mahadev, Shiv Khori, Buddha Amarnath and the most ancient Shiva shrine like Kashi-Vishwanath (Purmandal -Utterbehni).
