Pawan concerned over deduction of 80% funds under NRDWP

UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: MLA Udhampur Assembly Constituency, Pawan Gupta kick-started the black topping of one kilometer Birmapul-Dhanodi road.
On this occasion large number of the people under the leadership of Ex-Sarpanch, Gurubaksh Singh Bakshi  were present .
While addressing the gathering a local senior citizen Dev Raj Chalotra has expressed happiness and complimented the MLA for initiating his efforts to start the black topping work of this road as it was a long pending demand of the area. He also demanded shifting of the electrical transformer from the existing place to the road side by making an easy approach for lifting the same during the time of technical fault. He also demanded construction of link lane of this area.
In his address, MLA Pawan has said that the estimated cost for black topping of this road is Rs 30 lakh. Gupta has further expressed that it is unfortunate that Government of India has deducted 80% funds under the scheme of National Rural Drinking Water Program (NRDWP) which affected the drinking water projects. Gupta disclosed that a project of water scheme of Udhampur Assembly Constituency is already submitted with the concerned authorities of India for approval. He  assured the people that he will give necessary instructions to the concerned authorities for the shifting of transformer and construction of lane.
Raj Kumar Bucha, Sarpanch Gurubaksh Singh Bakshi, Puran Chand, Mohan Lal, Ved Parkash, Isher Dass Bodh Raj, Bansi Lal, Sham Lal, Kaka Ram , Munshi Ram and Sansar Chand were prominent among others addressed the occasion.
