JAMMU, Aug 27: Anti-Corruption Bureau has booked Mohd Murtaza Khan, then Patwari Halqa Timbra Haveli on corruption charges.
A formal case has been registered against Mohd Murtaza Khan of Potha, Tehsil Surankote, vide FIR number 01/2019, U/S 5(1) (d) r/w 5 (2) and 4-A of J&K P C Act Samvat 2006.
The case was registered on the basis of an enquiry on the complaint lodged by one Mohd Iqbal of Timbra, Tehsil Haveli, Poonch against the Patwari with the allegation that the latter had demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 10,000/- as bribe from him as illegal gratification in connection with a revenue report regarding demarcation of his land at Timbra, Mandi district Poonch.
On the prima facie establishment of the allegations, a formal case has been registered against Mohd Murtaza Khan, then Patwari Halqa Timbra Haveli in P/S ACB Rajouri and investigations taken up.
