UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Acting on a public complaint, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today attached Patwari, Patwar Halqa Sangoor and ordered an inquiry against the revenue official.
As per a district administration official, a local resident lodged a complaint in the office of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur against the Patwari following which Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildar Udhampur to conduct spot inspection and submit a report.
In his report, the Tehsildar Udhampur submitted that the concerned Patwari has altered the revenue record in violation of standing order No-22 and circular instructions issued by Financial Commissioner Revenue J&K from time to time.
”After gross violations and insertions found in the revenue record, ACR Udhampur was appointed as enquiry officer and asked to submit a detailed report of all changes made by the concerned Patwari,” the official said . He has been asked to submit a report in one month. Pending enquiry concerned Patwari has been attached in the office of Tehsildar Udhampur, the official added.
