JAMMU, Feb 24: On the instructions of Minister of State for Revenue (Independent Charge) Aijaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today ordered attachment of Sushil Kumar, Patwari Sarore Halqa, Bishnah tehsil for committing some irregularities in mutation of land.
Official sources said the Patwari has been attached to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu. He was likely to be placed under suspension.
On the basis of complaint that the Patwari had sought Rs 20,000 for mutation of land, the Minister of State for Revenue had asked the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu to hold an inquiry into the charges. During the inquiry, the charges were probed, sources said, adding that accordingly, the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu ordered attachment of the Patwari, who was likely to be placed under suspension.
Further probe was on into the charges, sources said.
