Patwar Association’s strike enters 26th day

JAMMU, May 3: All J&K Patwar Association ongoing indefinite strike across the State entered into 26th day today.
The Patwaris and Girdawars are demanding removal of pay anomalies with restrospective effect, stoppage of direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildar, relaxation in PSGA, enhancement of PSC to eight, establishment of departmental enquiry cell, transparency in transfer policy and others.
All Patwaris and Girdawars of Jammu assembled at teshil headquarters Jammu in support of their demands and held protest demonstration by raising slogans. Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai (district president Jammu) and Sanjeevan Sharma (teshil president Jammu) and others addressed the protesters.
The protesting leaders asked the cadre to hold protest at teshil headquarter, Akhnoor tomorrow. They also cautioned them to remain vigilant as the Government may try to sabotage the movement of the association by tactics.
They further said that indefinite strike will continue till the Government will issue formal orders.
