SAMBA, Apr 26: Village Patti of block Vijaypur will be developed as “Viksit village” of Vijaypur Assembly constituency. The village will be developed on the line of a Model Village and historic development works will be undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 5cr. This was stated by MLA Vijaypur, Chander Parkash Ganga while addressing a public meeting in the village on Sunday.
Ganga stated that this amount will be used for extensive development work with modern facilities, which will give the village a new identity. Ganga stated that as part of the vision for a developed village, the pond will be beautified, where attractive developments will be made, along with hut-style resting areas for senior citizens. Playgrounds equipped with modern facilities will be developed for children to provide better recreational and sports facilities in the rural area. He stated that road connectivity in the village will be strengthened, and all streets and drains will be constructed and improved. Moreover for the purpose of water conservation and judicious use of water a water harvesting plant will be established in near future along with solar light in each and every street of village Patti.
He further stated that this project will convert Patti village as a model developed village, combining environmental protection and modern development with basic amenities. He stated that the BJP Government is committed to the overall development of villages, and development work is being prioritized in the Vijaypur Assembly constituency.
Ganga said he is committed to ensure development in accordance with the aspirations of the people, and this approval of Rs 5 crore will prove to be a milestone in the development of Patti village. Local inhabitants welcomed this announcement and stated that this will improve overall developmental scenario of the village.
On the occasion senior BJP leader, Jairam Sharma, Mandal president, Vijaypur, Dheeraj Sharma, BJP J&K Panchayati Raj in charge, Jitender Sharma, district vice president, Kissan Morcha, Anil Sharma, Naib Sarpanch, Kuldeep Raj, Shakti Kendra in charge, Satish Kumar, senior leader, Rakesh Kumar, Subash Sharma, Panch Uttam Sharma, Sunita Devi were present.
