UDHAMPUR, Aug 6: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramnagar RS Pathania took stock of developmental activities at various villages in Ramnagar.
He also addressed public meetings at Tentha, Chowki, Nallah Mallein, Patyari, Beri, Gaghote, Sukka Talab and also convened ‘Janta Darbar’ at Town Hall, Ramnagar.
Pathania inspected the site of motorable-suspension bridge at Nallah Mallein on Chowki-Ghordi road and issued instructions for its immediate completion. He also announced up-gradation of electricity station at Patyari Bowli (Ward No. 10) from 63 KVA to 100 KVA and at Guryalta (Badhole) from 25 KKVA to 63 KVA. He also announced new electricity stations/transformers at Gaghote, Ghara and Chowki-Lutal. He announced two hand-pumps at Tentha and one at Nallah Mallein and another at Sukka Talab. He also announced start of work on upgradation/improvement of road at Cremation Grounds at Chigli Chauri and Ghora Pattan and from Police Station to Nouji. He also issued instructions for early completion of work on motorable bridge across Ujh leading towards Siameri.
He directed PDD to prepare draft of a transformer-repair workshop at Ramnagar. He also directed officers of Ramnagar Municipality to immediately repair all defunct street lights in Ramnagar, clogged public toilets and littered drains and install dust-bins in Ramnagar town. He also issued instructions to Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture Departments to initiate awareness programmes and publicity campaigns to propagate various schemes and initiatives of the departments.
Pathania directed officers of PHE Department to ensure timely supply of clean water and formulate projects for uncovered habitations and immediately plug and restore shattered drinking water lines. He directed PDD to immediately stop unscheduled power cuts and power-tripping and ensure that every electricity bill should not be issued without checking meter-readings. He also announced installation of street lights in the municipal area.
While issuing joint instructions to SDM Ramnagar and EO, TAC Ramnagar, he asked for locating an alternative place for Bus Stand Ramnagar as due to plying of buses from the heart of Ramnagar town, jams and congestions are creating hardships for the local people.
