UDHAMPUR, Jan 24: Reiterating his focus and priority on far-flung, neglected, areas of Ramnagar, MLA-elect from Ramnagar, R S Pathania toured and addressed largely-attended meetings at Barota, Cheel, Mandi, Romain, Chowki, Jandrore, Majua, Pinder, Bainsta, Kogharmarh, Thelay, Saloh, Plassan, Chanunta, Dalsar, Panjgrain, Badhole, Jandriari, Thaplal, villages.
Mr. Pathania called for completion of road-projects, buildings, public utilities, laying of electricity and drinking water lines within the stipulated time-period and further issuing notice to defaulting contractor agencies for sticking to time-limits and make these developmental schemes and projects functional within the shortest possible time. He also instructed the senior officers to remove all procedural handicaps and hiccups so that hassle-free completion of these projects is expedited within shortest possible span of time. He also instructed Rural Development Department to immediately approve and finalize various works under MGNREGA so that these works are taken up on priority. He issued instructions to Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture Departments to initiate awareness programmes and publicity campaigns in far flung areas to propagate various schemes and initiatives of the departments so that field – wise progress in various sectors is achieved and economic condition of the farmers’ community is also achieved side-by-side.
He also instructed revenue officers to immediately effect intikals/girdawaris of land-holdings and finalize and approve cases under Roshni and drought relief distribution too. He expressed dissatisfaction over non-completion of land-compensation cases by Revenue Department and instructed for time-bound and efficacious completion of the same.
He instructed officers of PHE Department to ensure timely supply of clean water and formulate projects for uncovered habitations and immediately plug and restore shattered drinking water lines. He instructed PDD to immediately stop unscheduled power cuts and power-tripping and ensure that every electricity bill is not issued without checking meter-readings.
