UDHAMPUR, Oct 23: : To celebrate the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the Ramnagar Municipal Council elections, local unit of the party today organised a “Dhanyawad Samaroh”- a thanks giving function here at Town-Hall Ramnagar which was presided over by local Legislator Ranbir Singh Pathania and attended by a large number of people from all walks of life.
The local BJP cadres took the MLA in a huge procession and moved towards Nouji Mohalla, Gundian, Sukha Talab, Gurlang and then through Main Bazar Ramnagar towards Chigli Chowri and finally Town Hall Ramnagar.
While addressing a largely attended function at Town Hall Ramnagar , Pathania complimented to the public of Ramnagar for the trust bestowed upon BJP candidates.
Pertinently BJP has won 7 wards in the Ramnagar Municipality and has lost 2 wards by a wafer-thin margin.
Terming the party’s manifesto for Municipal elections as “holy book”, Pathania reiterated his commitment towards four dimensional developmental fillip of the Ramnagar town and assured to fulfil all the poll-promises. Pathania said that work on Indoor Sports Stadium at Ramnagar is in progress and work on outdoor stadium shall be starting soon.
Pathania said that all necessary steps will be taken up for the beautification of Ramnagar town including well maintained lanes and drains, dustbins for each and every locality, and proper disposal of garbage. A modern sewerage treatment and solid waste management plant for Ramnagar town is in offing. Parks and gardens will be developed and a modern open gymnasium for olds and young will be developed. All other poll promises will be fulfilled on priority and there will be equitable development of each and every ward.
Pathania advised all the newly elected ward members to maintain friendly relations with public and remain sensitive to the larger public issues. Decency and morality in public life and political circles is the very bed rock of a functional democracy, he added.
Making a sharp attack on JKNPP leadership for mud-slinging, use of cheap and abusive language and using derogatory comments even on Prime Minister, Rajinder Sharma Mandal president said that being rejected by the public of Ramnagar twice, JKNPP leaders have now resorted to cheap political stunts.
Pathania further chaired meeting to review the preparation for upcoming Panchayat elections. He advised the party workers to get ready for these elections and extend support to like minded persons for Panch and Sarpanch elections.
