UDHAMPUR, June 2: Ranbir Singh Pathania, Spokesperson J&K BJP and former MLA, has expressed concern over inexplicable delay in start of work on Jal Jeevan Mission, much-talked-of flagship programme of the Centre.
Speaking in a ‘Karyakarta Baithak’ (workers meeting) at Dhema, Mr Pathania called for actualization of Jal Jeevan Mission on ground. He said that DPRs with respect to ambitious scheme programme of Modi Sarkar have been completed long back and appropriate funds were also provided by the Central Government but nothing tangible has emerged on spot as yet. And people of uncovered/partially converted areas are languishing for proper and clean water supply, he added.
Mr Pathania also took stock of the basic amenities in far flung areas like Garh Samnabanj, Chore Mottu, Babey, Bei Kanara etc of tehsil Majalta.
Those who were present on the occasion, included Kuldeep Singh, General Secretary BJP District Udhampur; Shiv Ram, Mandal General Secretary; Makhan All, Mandal Vice President BJP; Dr B D Gupta, Romesh Gupta, Manoj Verma, Mohan Lal and others.
