UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: BJP spokesperson and former MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania while taking stock of the people’s issues as well as ground-situation prevailing here in over, has called for immediate restoration of damages caused due to incessant rains coupled with snowfall.
Pathania said that a crisis-like situation has been prevailing in areas of Udhampur, Kathua, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi whereby whooping losses to persons, properties, residential houses and public utilities has been caused and houses have collapsed.
“Link roads pertaining to PW(R&B), PMGSY and RDD have been either damaged or closed and traffic has been suspended on major roads of the area. Power and fresh drinking water supplies have been suspended. Excessive landslides have spoiled residential houses and agricultural lands of people,” he stated.
The BJP spokesperson sought unfolding of immediate crash measures so as to restore power, drinking water, ration supplies and spur up human and animal healthcare facilities in the area so that the miseries and hardships of the people over here could be curtailed.
