RAMNAGAR, Mar 5: To further supplement the ambulatory services in Ramnagar area, Ranbir Singh Pathania, spokesperson J&K,BJP and former MLA Ramnagar today dedicated a hi-tech Ambulance to the people of Ramnagar at Sub-District Hospital Ramnagar.
Pertinently this ambulance has been purchased from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at a cost worth Rs. 14.50 lacs.
The keys of ambulance were formally handed over to hospital authorities by Madhu Bala, BJP corporator from Ward No. 2 Ramnagar in the presence of Sumit Gupta, vice president, (MC Ramnagar), councilors from other wards, and a huge galaxy of prominent public.
The ambulance is well equipped with latest facilities along with air conditioner for better patient care and has the capacity to move onto far-flung, less accessible pockets.
While speaking on the occasion, Pathania called for a greater focus on hitherto neglected, far-flung areas which have been bearing the brunt of under development since the past years. With coming in power of a people friendly Government at Centre, many eyes of optimism have been pinned. Whereas, shortage of doctors, healthcare facilities and lack of State of art infrastructural activities have been major hiccups in addressing healthcare needs of the area.
He said that Health Sector in Ramnagar is highly staff-deficient. And right from Kalwanta to Latti (150 kms by road) not even a single MBBS doctor is posted there. He called for taking immediate remedial measures into the matter.
He also sought upgradation of CHC Ramnagar with provision of State-of-art facilities including spacious administrative block and further called for upgradation of PHC Majalta and PHC Basantgarh up to CHC level and setting up of an accidental Hospital at Manwal, Dhar road at an earliest to boost health care in the area. Pathania further asked the health care authorities to take proper preventive steps to regarding Covid-19 (CoronaVirus) and asked the public not to panic and be in touch with nearest medical centers in case of any problem or symptoms.
