UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: Pradesh Youth Congress general secretary, R S Pathania has alleged that entire hilly belt of Ramnagar constituency including Dudu-Basantgarh has been neglected and the people have been forced to lead a sub-standard life.
The PYC leader who conducted extensive tour of this hilly belt Basantgarh, Dudu-Kirchi, Shiv Gali, Upper Balota, Gandh Top, Chhatrari and Majori area of Ramnaggar flayed the local administration and the concerned legislator for unleashing a worst reign of mal-administration, mis-governance and State of neglect. He accused the local Panthers Party legislator in failing to rise up to the expectations and developmental needs of the hilly Assembly segment and giving a fillip to educational agriculture, floriculture, recreational and employment related activities in the area.
“Since the six decades of democratic rule, people living over here are still bereft of basic living facilities like clean drinking water, proper electricity supply, road connectivity, human and animal health care. The lack of basic living facilities has kept the people living over here in a sort of stone age”, PYC leader maintained.
During public meeting at Basantgarh, the local people vowed to launch campaign for their demands of Tehsil status for Basantgarh, Niabat at Dudu and Degree College at Basantgarh. Mr Pathania projected the demand of installation of Ultrasound machine at Basantgarh, X-Rays and ambulance facilities at Dudu PHC. He also sought allopathic dispensaries for Punara, Maang, Balota and Parla Chakal. The PYC leader also demanded posting of adequate staff in Government schools of the area as many posts were lying vacant. He also alleged shortage of sugar and other food stuff besides kerosene oil in the area.
President BCC Dudu-Basantgarh Mushtaq Ahmed, Shiv Charan, Manzoor Ahmed Sarpanch, Farooq Ahmed Sarpanch, Tirath Ram Sarpanch and Girdhari Lal Sarpanch also spoke on the occasion.
