RAMBAN, Apr 21: Ramsoo police arrested a passenger along with poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramsoo police station led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Ameen laid a naka and intercepted a Tavera car bearing registration number JK03D-7916, which was on its way from Valley to Jammu.
During checking, police recovered two kilograms poppy straw, which was concealed in plastic bags and arrested a passenger, who has been identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of Charanjet Singh of Baramulla, at present Model Town Digiana Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 25/16 under Section 8/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Ramsoo and investigation started.
