INTUC holds meet, highlights issues

UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its district president Som Nath, in which employees from various departments took part.
In the meeting, the participants demanded release of wages in favour of casual, ITI and need based workers working in different departments, finalization of May Day programme, removal of pay anomalies in all the departments, enhancement of medical allowances from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
They also demanded filling up of vacant posts by engaging workers as per norms, release of pending 6 per cent DA from January 2016 and implement 7th Pay Commission.
Som Nath while speaking appealed to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to fulfill the demands at the earliest.
Those, who spoke in the meeting, were Yash Paul Gupta, Ram Prashad, Vijay Kumar, Satpaul Sharma, Rattan Singh, Anil Gupta, Makhan Chand, Naresh Kumar, Tariq Shah, etc.
